What's different about our flour?
Most store bought flour has been processed to remove many of the nutrients that are essential for the health of the human body. Dietary fiber, Vitamins B and E, and minerals like iron, magnesium and zinc are a few of these nutrients removed. Our flour is milled from the whole wheat berry with nothing taken out, so it retains every essential nutrient needed for health
Quality first
Wheat berries are milled with their natural oils, vitamins, and enzymes intact, so the flour begins to oxidize and lose nutritional value immediately. This is why our flour is milled just before shipping, then recommended to use immediately, refrigerate or freeze to retain it's nutritional value. Store bought flour has been bleached and preservatives added to extend it's shelf life. We consider this "dead flour"
Natural nutrients
You may have seen "Enriched" on a store bought bag of flour. This is an effort to add back a portion of the vitamins that were stripped in the processing of the flour. However, the vitamins being added back in are synthetic forms of those vitamins, not the natural form. Our bodies are more able to function in a natural efficient way when we are fueling it with natural whole nutrients, not synthetic forms
